Beth Lyons is a New York-based yoga instructor offering a wealth of experience and a wide range of therapeutic skills. Beth received her YOGA FOR TWO™(prenatal and postnatal) teaching certification in 2003, and is certified in Thai Massage and wide range of yoga styles, including Vinyasa (with Rodney Yee), Bikram Yoga, and Next Generation Yoga for Children. She has also studied yoga therapeutics with Iyengar specialist Michael Gilbert Anusara style innovator Doug Keller and Bodytuner Glenn Black. Beth has been greatly inspired by Ana Forrest, Mitchel Bleier, and John Friend. Beth recently returned from India, where she fortunate to study a variety of yoga styles and ayurvedic medicine with Yoga Master Krishna.

Before yoga, Beth studied movement for 15 years as a competitive dancer and gymnast. Her devotion to these arts and her healing experiences following several related injuries give her a deeper understanding of the body, one which she delights in passing along to others. Working one-on-one with students, she helps them discover their personal sadna (practice), which increases their strength and enhances their range of movement. Beth's approach to yoga is grounded in the physical alignment principles of Iyengar and Anusara, combined with the graceful flow of Vinyasa. Her classes include pranayama, asana, centering, and meditation, and are uplifting and inspiring!
